Here is some information on Candlemas in February that Bryn Gwlad is
hosting.

The theme for the event will be "An Evening in New Spain" circa 1566. New
Spain is what Mexico City was called when the Spaniards discovered the area.

My vision, as the event steward, is to take us back to that time and am
encouraging people to dress in the time period, if they so choose. As for
expectations, come and have a good time! There will be classes covering
subjects specific to the time and place, there will be competition displays
as this is where the B&B announce their Bardic and A&S champion. The food is
also going to be heavily slanted towards the foods/spices that were in the
area as well as some Spanish influenced dishes.

There is a site fee and ACCEPs is now available for pre-registration. The
website is curently under construction and should be going live soon, thanks
to incredibly talented Lord Ceallach Mac Donal. I haven't said anything
about the event because I wanted people to be able to focus and enjoy HL
Alina's event. Now that Yule has passed, I am really excited to get to work
on Candlemas. This one is going to have a bit more flurry of activity due to
the investiture of Master Pug and Mistress Myfanwy but I am really hoping I
can make it so everyone can come in, relax and have a great time.

I have been blessed with an incredible team who have all brought really
awesome ideas to the table. I hope we can make BG incredibly proud with this
event. :)

What is it? What's it about? What should we expect? What is expected of us?
Such as... I am hearing a lot of whispers about wardrobe and it seems to be
a big deal for this event? Is it another pot lock style event or is  there a
Feast served? Is there  a Site/Event Fee?
