[Hellsgate] Winter Crown Bid?

As a new member to the Stronghold I'm not sure if I should or have the right
to voice an opinion. However, as a long time member of the SCA and having
been a Seneschal for many years, I agree that it is too much too soon. We
have only begun to make a scratch on the possible inroads to new members.
We need to focus our priorities there, and on the upcoming event and
Queen's. Enthusiasm and get up and go vigor is fantastic, and I feel that
same energy that I felt years ago when I first joined the SCA. However, the
greatest of enthusiasm cannot override burn-out. Trust me it can sneak up
on you when you least expect it.
As Mel and others have said lets focus on the growth of the Stronghold and
look to the future. The Army has a way of development they call "The Crawl,
Walk, Run Method." From what I see we are in between Crawl and Walk. If
we try to run to fast too far likes babes we may fall on our face.
Anyway, that is my two cents, if I have overstepped myself, or upset or
offended any of the fine people of Hellsgate, I deeply apologize.

Yours in Service to Hellsgate and the Dream
Lord Eric Bentbow (mka Joe Simmons)
