[Hellsgate] Who's going

To the populace of Hellsgate and to Lady Fireheart do I, Lord Coenred aet
Rauenesdale, send greetings.

I too suffered at the hands of the foul weather, retiring to a local inn for
Friday night.  The weather for the remainder of the weekend, however, was
excellent and there was much to be done.  The fighting for Steppes Warlord
was invigorating and myself and Brother Seneca competed in both the open
class fighting and the un-awarded class (there was some confusion at the
list mistress table that resulted in the tournament not cascading as
advertised).  The merchants were out and the revelry was in great abundance.
Sunday had the rapier tournament and the novice tournament in which I
participated (small wonder, I still classify as a novice even after the
tournament).  By the afternoon weather looked to be closing in and many made
the decision to leave early.

I regret that I did not see you, Lady Fireheart, at the event and therefore
was unable to partake of the feast.  Perhaps I will have the opportunity in
the future.

I look forward to seeing all of you at populace this week.  I am much
energized and refreshed following this weekend and will have my armor out
more often.  Additionally, I will be attending the Bryn Gwlad practices more
often as well, especially the War Company practices as the Captain of the
Company made a point of reminding me that I have been absent of late.  For
those interested in melees, I will be posting the dates for practices as I
get them.  It is well worth the time if you desire to fight melee with the
War Company of the Barony which supports us.

To all the gentles of Hellsgate, I, Lady Fireheart of FalconRose sends
greetings a salutations.
Friday was a very trying experience to myself and to many of the people that
were on site at Stepped Warlord. Two thunderstorms hit us. Both had lots of
rain and very heavy winds. I was not the only one that sustained damage.
Many a pavilion was doing a good imitation of a dead spider. I ended staying
in a hotel, along with the France Dame of our household. I finally got my
chair dry today. My pavilion hit her tent and collapsed part of hers. I was
very discouraged, but a shower and a good night sleep revitalized me and I
had a great time.
The list field was about 100 feet from our camp, so got a great view of the
tourney.
We had a wonderful evening feast. I don't know if anybody from Hellsgate
came to the event, but if they did, they missed a wonderful meal. Maybe next
time.
I will see you all at populace if not sooner.
