[Hellsgate] Tiny Tourney 8/21 in Hellsgate

All are welcome to display their prowess and honor in a Tiny Tourney to be held at the northwest corner of Carl Levin Park in the city of Harker Heights on the 21st day of August.  Armour inspection will begin at 7 with combat to follow as soon as the Lists are prepared.

The armoured side of this tourney will be inspired by the Norse holmgang or judicial duel.  Fighters may use single-handed swords, axes or hewing spears (glaives).  Shields may be used, but each fighter may bring only 3 for the duration of the tourney.  Each shield will be considered "destroyed" if it receives 3 stout strikes from a weapon.  The limits of the field will be marked on the ground, and a fighter stepping off the field will be considered defeated.  Pairings will be drawn until all have fought each opponent.


Rapier side
Each fighter will issue challenges in a persona-appropriate manner to the others until all have fought.   All legal weapons and parrying devices may be used.

On each field, the results of the fights will be tallied and pairings will be announced for a final round.
