ANSTHRLD - A couple of questions (and replies) regarding the latest Gazette

Greetings, all.
I was just going over the new Gazette, and thought I would answer a couple
of questions (and ask a couple more) regarding some Namron submissions:
>From ILOI 0010/11:
1) Agnes de Siena
Agnes did not specify "changes requested for authenticity to Irish". Please
note all the references are Continental Europe--especially Italy.
6) Cadhla Ua Cellachan
The original submission was "Vert, an orle of mushrooms argent"...but the
one in the Gazette is "Vert, an tressure of mushrooms argent".
Does anyone know if there is a reason for this change? Is one blazon
preferable to the other?
>From AICC for ILOI 0900:
5) Fionngan Dubh
Both Magnus and Mari commented on the spelling...the original spelling was
"Fionnagan". There seems to have been a transcription error in the previous
Gazette.
Comments from Bryn Gwlad and Northkeep noted "fructal". I looked at the
original submission...blame my handwriting.
I will check with the submitter regarding spelling and time period...more
back
in the next two days.
? Davis McReynald [was 11) Kathleen Davis McReynald]
Her use of Davis was as a maiden name...not a double surname. Again, if the
College believes it too wierd, drop Davis.
Northkeep noted concerns with artwork. Since this was a full-service
submission
from Coronation, who straightens out the artwork? Is redraw included?
Just curious.
29) Veronica de Verona
I'm sorry about the lack of history on the name submission...it comes from
being
too close to the matter. The resubmission was for Contessa Vanessa de
Verona
(holding name--Valerie of Elfsea). She has been told many times over the
years
that Vanessa cannot be registered (refer to Withycombe). So, she gave up
until
recently. More than that I am at a loss to give...I have no records at my
disposal
which document this portion of Ansteorran heraldic history. Suffice it to
say, she
tried to register Vanessa de Verona, the CoH said "No", and she stopped
trying.
Also, the submission for Veronica de Verona is from Namron--not Elfsea.
Regards,
Tadhg
