ANSTHRLD - being a paid member

Greetings,

On the Ansteorran list they ask what the benefits of
memberships in the SCA are.  Please correct me if I am wrong
but if two submissions are received at Laurel at the same
time and they conflict and one of them is a paid member and
one is not the paid member receives the approval and the
non-member is sent back.  Correct?  How many other hidden
benefits of membership is there?
