Didn't we have a submission recently of something like "the Greymoore
Pack"?

I just bought _Pride and Prejudice_ by Jane Austen this evening. It's
the Penguin pb edition of 1996, ISBN 0-14-043426-7. Chapter V, note
4, p. 321:

    4. *a pack of foxhounds*: an interesting example of masculine
consumer aspiration. Packs of hounds dedicated to foxhunting
were a comparatively recent phonomenon, dating from around
       1750.

Unfortunately for our purposes, this says nothing about packs of
hounds dedicated to other purposes, and "Greymoore Pack" did not say
it was a *foxhunting* pack. Still, I found it an interesting note.
