ANSTHRLD - Peacocks: Close vs Pavanated

Kom heil,

Can someone please explain to me the difference between a peacock close
and a peacock pavanated? To further confuse matters, there are peacocks
listed as both close and pavanated for the same bird in the same blazon in
the armorial, and I'm having a problem visualizing what that looks
like. :) I would think that pavanated automatically implies close, but
I'd rather ask then assume. Any assistance is appreciated, and visual aids
would be excellent.
