To the Heralds of Ansteorra and our friends on this list, greetings.

After consulting with Honorable Lord Kainin, we have the following
possible badges for which we seek the commentary of this list group.
The badges are listed in the order that HL Kainin ranked them for
preference.  They have been conflict checked, but another reviewer
would certainly be welcome.  Please review each possible badge
candidate and offer commentary as to blazon, conflict, style, and
period style.  As all but one of these involves either a tertiary or
an overall charge, comments on applicable rules would also be welcome.

#1 - (Fieldless)  A Latin cross patonce sable, overall a square flag
Per pale Or and gules, a pale indented counterchanged.

On this and later badge candidates, you will see reference to flags.
While I have tried to match blazons that I have found in the O&A, we
certainly welcome any blazon corrections for this type of emblazon.

#2 - (Fieldless)  On a cross nowy sable, a roundel Per pale Or and
gules, a pale indented counterchanged.

#3 - Per pale Or and gules, a pale indented counterchanged, overall a
Latinate cross patonce sable.

#4 - (Fieldless) A Latin cross patonce sable, dependent from the
dexter and sinister arms two square flags Per pale Or and gules, a
pale indented counterchanged.
