This name appears in Landnámabók for Katla, mother of Þo'rgrímr Ko:tluson,
in ch. 46. It's also in Geirr Bassi on p. 12. It is old and may be found in
Sweden, but it certainly dates to the Viking Age in Iceland.  It's one of
the "Ketill" names (a diminuitive feminized version).
