A current check of the O&A:
Clear of:
Gwendoline Rosamond
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
January of 1994 (via the Middle):
Vert, a phoenix Or, in chief a crescent argent.
Change of type and tincture of the secondary.
Charles Fenix
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
February of 1997 (via the Middle):
Gules, a phoenix and in chief two suns Or.
Change of field and number of the secondary.
Vittoria del Fiore
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
November of 1990 (via the West):
Vert, a phoenix Or, issuant from flames proper, within an orle of
lilies argent.
Change of type and tincture to secondary.
Conflicts:
Julienne Dubarry
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
August of 1993 (via Atenveldt):
Vert, a phoenix within an orle Or.
The "issue" for only change of type to the secondary.
Hmmm...
Would she do an argent sun?
Nevermind, that would conflict with Gwendoline Rosamond above for only
change of type to the secondary.
Would she do a field change? Gules will not work due to Charles Fenix
noted above.
Azure may not work due to:
Tatiana Ivanovna
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
December of 1980 (via the Middle):
Azure, a Russian firebird displayed Or, crested and its six
tail-feathers each charged with a heart gules.
No secondary but it is only clear if the hearts are substantial enough to
qualify as tertiaries.
Purpure would conflict with:
Dennis the Wright
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
March of 1987 (via the Outlands):
Purpure, a phoenix issuant from a base of flames, between its
wingtips a mullet Or.
The mullet and the sun would give no difference, you might get one CD for
the positioning of the secondary mullet but I doubt it. For that matter,
the original submission should conflict with this as well for only a field
tincture change.
Sable would conflict with:
Reimond of Ipstones
* The following device associated with this name was registered in
October of 1993 (via Calontir):
Sable, a phoenix and a chief embattled Or.
This would be the same conflict reason as the original submission, just a
different peripheral ordinary.
So, neither a simple field change nor changing the sun's tincture to argent
alone will clear it (unless the azure background is clear with the hearts
as tertiaries). I'll keep thinking.
