[ANSTHRLD] Laurel Office Change

I have been getting a lot of questions about something that happened at the
Board of Directors' meeting this past weekend. I am pleased that the issue
has not become a hot topic on this list. But, there will likely be some
changes and impacts as fallout from this (though we do not know what those
will be and speculation is really a waste of time at this point).
The short version:
The Board has asked Master Francois to step back in as Laurel King of
Arms. The previous Laurel, Mistress Shauna, has agreed to act as a deputy
to Master Francois during this process. There are specific things, I
gather, that the board wants addressed in the next six months and he will
be leading the College of Arms in the effort to address those things. The
things are not specified anywhere that I am aware of and, again,
speculation or guessing is just a waste of time at this point. I
understand that the Laurel office will be re-opened for applications and
that there is a six month target for Master Francois to transition back out
of this role again.
Impacts, etc:
To all heralds in the Ansteorran College, except myself and Bordure, there
should be no changes in procedure, policy, or administrative
actions. Bordure and I may be mailing some (or all) items we deal with to
a different address or we may not (at this point, no changes). So we
should all continue our happy heraldic duties and stay focused on our
various submitters, clients, customers, etc. If something is released that
changes this status quo situation, I'll let you know as soon as I know.
If Master Francois needs manpower or assistance, he'll contact those people
he needs. If he asks for volunteers, either through me or directly, I know
that the College of Heralds of Ansteorra will support our fellow herald in
his duty.
Situations like this are well beyond the ordinary. Threads of discussion
or speculation are really not needed right now.
If you have a specific question about something that this transition may
affect, that affects your role, please email me privately and I'll be happy
to keep you on the path of "happy heraldic duties."
