[ANSTHRLD] Zodiacus

There is also the practicum. Star pulls 25 people into a room with the
candidate. The candidate has 15 minutes to sort them into a March of
Precedence, "closed book" with no questions allowed (only judging by
what they are wearing and their body language in deferring to each
other). If they succeed, the six month probationary period is waived.
To avoid unnecessary cruelty, only two out-of-kingdom people can be
included in the 25 and only one person whose highest OP award involves a
closed order/award.

It is sort of a heraldic "kobiyashi moru" (if I spelled the Star Trek
reference correctly) because there is always a ringer or two included.
An important part of the test is seeing how the candidate deals with the
Duchess they accidentally placed behind a Court Baron. I still think
that having someone in the room wearing the crown of the Laurel
Sovereign of Arms is overly deceptive.

In order to show the College that the candidate
understands the importance of accurate paperwork,
there must be an in-depth research project on
papermaking and caligraphy. Plus the creation of
hand made paper and hand printed award report
form as a test of the knowledge of the Kingdom's
awards. No additional materials are allowed as
the test must be done "closed book".
In addition the candidate must be able to explain
to out of Kingdom newcomers the difference
between the Pearl and the Thorny Rapier and how
one has precedence over the other.
And why the tradition in the March of Precedence
differs amoung the various Kingdoms.
