Withycombe under Adeline had Adelina from 1210 and the Domesday Book in 1086 as a female given name. Also mentioned as a saint Adelina, Abbess of Poulangy, died 1170. Poulangy is in France near the German border.
That tracks the name in English and French to start the journey.

> I have a client that would like to use the name Adelina and wants to have a Porteguese persona. I looked through St. Gabriel's and could only find a name close that was Italian (Adalina).
