A quick note about the Dering Roll which the British Library is currently
trying to purchase after an auction sale to a foreign buyer. It is
apparently the oldest extant English Roll of Arms.

You'll need to register to see the Sotheby lot, but it does give a brief
history and a good quality picture of part of the roll.
