[ANSTHRLD] A question on behalf of a client

There have been landed who were not granted a Court Barony when they stepped down (though it has been awhile). Even if backdated, the right to the armorial presentation should not be presumed until the Crown actually grants it. That would be kind of like a candidate to a peerage wearing a peerage medallion between when they were called and the actual elevation at a ceremony held a month later.

A general rule when landed barons step down they get a court barony and i believe the inception date is back dated to when they stepped up. at least I have never seen a stepping down landed that did NOT get one if they were not already a baron. There may be others with differing memories so i am qualifying it.
