I don't know of any precedents barring dissimilar *postures* in the
same group.  Similar but different *types*, but both of these types
are chevrons.

I found an example of bracing while you were posting your note, in the
10/09 LoAR.

     William Mor. Badge. Argent, a chevron throughout and a chevron
     inverted throughout braced all within a bordure sable.

         Please instruct the submitter to draw better internal
         detailing on the bracing. The chevrons should not appear to be
         a single charge.
