In period emblazons, I've seen chevrons issuing things (like linden
leaves <http://daten.digitale-sammlungen.de/bsb00018706/image_628>
and fleurs-di-lis <http://daten.digitale-sammlungen.de/bsb00001649/
image_165>). And I've seen chevrons braced with chevrons inverted
<http://daten.digitale-sammlungen.de/bsb00018706/image_530>. But I
don't remember ever seeing a chevron pierced by another (or by
anything else, for that matter).

There's also a potential problem with identifiability where the
ermine spots are concerned. Aside from the slight curve on either
side of the point of each chevron, they're visible only as three
dots, indistinguishable from an estencel (which is a period charge,
typically used in semy). That alone could be cause for return.

You might be able to register something similar, with the chevrons
braced rather than piercing one another and with something
identifiable at the points. I wouldn't think such an arrangement
unreasonable.
