Here's a couple other possibile devices that might avoid the problems in Eldwin's Submission II and a link to the pics for these alternate devices.  I know the blazon below won't be right for both of them and suspect it's not quite right for either one.

Per fess engrailed argent and azure, a mermaid in her vanity with tail purpure, in chief a mullet of five points voided and interlaced within and conjoined to an annulet Or.
