And remember that, in period, your heraldry was given to you by the heralds
and you had no say over the design. Also English heralds didnt worry about
conflicting with anything outside of England for the most part if I remember
correctly. I might be wrong on that, but my overall recall is that each
heraldic authority was only responsible to itself for not having identical
arms.
