Rosenfeld's Three Kings event, 'The Battle of the Three Commanders draws
nigh.

Come one, come all and plan on being there and lend your voice for all to
hear!

Truthfully, I hope that many of you do plan on attending, and offer your
voice from time to time as needed.

Unto the Populace of Ansteorra do the Stewards of the Battle of Three
Commanders Send Greetings!

Battle of Three Kings XVI known this year as the Battle of the Three
Commanders will be held at Hawkins State Park in Hawkins, Texas, October
1-3.  Here are the Battle Scenarios so that all can begin to plan their
alliances and the fun can begin!  The Commanders are:

The Irish Commander - Grainne Ui Mhaille - HE Druinne de Salesberie
The English Commander - Sir Francis Drake - HE Don Robert MaPharland
The Spanish Commander - Duke Alonzo Perez de Guzman - HE Don Iago Cabrera de
Cadiz

Background: The English are trying to stop the Spanish Armada from invading
England with or without the help of the Irish.  Nobody can say until the
very last minute with which forces the Irish Queen will align. The field
battles will be at Tilbury, the castle battle will be on Isle of Wight,
which is the first line of defense in the English Channel against any
invading force and the ship to ship will be at sea.

First Scenario:  Chivalric fighters will battle at the Castle to defend the
Isle of White while the Rapier fighters will be fighting from ship to ship
trying to stop the Spanish Armada & the Irish from getting to the English
homeland.  

Second Scenario: Chivalric fighters will be fighting on the ships and the
Rapier fighters will have a Field Battle defending English homeland from any
forces that might get past the seafaring defenders, while the invaders
attempt to win the castle.  

Third Scenario:  Chivalric fighters will have a Field Battle and the Rapier
fighters will be assaulting the Castle.  

Siege is welcome in all Chivalric battles as well as Archers so that all
will have as much fun as possible for as long as desired.

Most are familiar with the Rosenfeld Castle and we are trying something new
this year with hay-bail ships for 'ship-to-ship' battles with boarding
parties and Archers.  If we can squeeze a Siege onboard one or more ships,
what fun that would be!  

Commanders, rally your troops!  We are looking toward a full day of non-stop
fun for all.
