I'm unsure of the source of your artwork - Celtic illumination?  As Daniel mentioned, the horse heads do not look like heraldic horse heads. (Such as the one depicted in Parker's Glossary http://www.heraldsnet.org/saitou/parker/Jpglossh.htm under "Horse").  Will you be at BAM with time available to discuss heraldic art and style?
