HERB - ginger/galingale-growing

Our ginger plant bloomed last year, but then the entire plant died back
over winter. It hasn't taken off again this year, so I wonder if it
actually did die over the winter.

It was regular store ginger. I was amazed at the different of taking a
small bit of this off at the hotness and flavor compared to the
original. I think I enjoy truly fresh ginger much more.
