Greetings! My name is Tea and I am from the Kingdom of the Outlands. I
did find a lengthy recipe on Weld in a book I purchased here. It is
called Medieval Dyes and is written by our own Mistress Drahomira
Jaroslavna. This book is very thorough on Period dying. I even took a
class by her; very, well done!
Her recipe calls for dried leaves equal to 1/2 the weight of fabric. To
crumble the leaves and soak in warm water 6 hours. Then add a pinch of
washing soda and the fibers. Simmer fibers 1 hour. If you are
interested in aquiring a book, let me know and I'll post her phone
number and e-mail.
