Composite flower with disk.  The flower reminds me a little bit of a black
eyed susan, except smaller and orange/yellow in the middle instead of
black.

When you say lots of leaves, so you mean compound? pinnate?

Linear.  It looks like lots and lots of little blades of grass growing out
of the stalk.  Usually more than one growing out from the same place on the
stalk.

Most have been about 1 foot tall, the tallest I've seen was about 2 feet
tall.

They are very bitter.  If I simply pull them up, and then lick my lips, I
can taste a bitterness.  How it gets there, I don't know, unless it is
pollen from the flowers.
The seeds are very small, with tiny white fluff on them.
