HERB - Garlic

I have some garlic in my refridgerator that has sprouted and I was wondering
how / and whether to plant the bulbs? I know it is an offense to not use all
your garlic but I just bought too much. Do I plant the whole bulb or just
one of the cloves that  has sprouted? Also, what are the particulars to
light, water and when to harvest? Yes, I am a beginner who does not know
anything.
