HERB - Garlic

Divide the cloves, and plant all of them, even the ones that haven't
sprouted, (unless they are dried up, hollow, or real moldy). Plant them
about 4-6 inches deep and stand back, they will put up long stalks with
very pretty balls of purpleish white flowers. These lovely things smell
just like garlic. When the flower stalks fade in late summer, you can
harvest. (You can leave them attached to the flowers and make braids of
garlic like the ones you see in old paintings of kitchens and many
Italian restaurants. Or, you can hang the flower stalks to dry them and
use them in arrangements.) I suppose you could do the same thing with
onions, but I don't have enough yard space to devote to them!
