HERB - Herbal Pest Repellants

Another herbal pest repellant that I was thinking of:

  Neem (Azadirachta indica)

There's been considerable research done on the use of Neem as
a "green" pesticide and repellant. I suspect most of the research
is pretty thick going. Neem has been actively cultivated for better
than 2,500 years, if I remember rightly. I'd be interested in
finding period refs to it if anyone can point me in the right
direction. Perhaps docs from India?
