HERB - ginseng

Some time ago I recall seeing a posting to this list saying that
hypoglycemics (sp?) should be cautious about using ginseng.  I cannot
recall who posted this but I was wondering if anyone could explain the
reason and whether they were referring to any specific type or all
ginseng.  Could anyone out there answer this for me?  Thanks, Ginger
