On the SCA cook's list, this would be called a "spoon tease." Care to
share your experiences? I'd love to hear them.

So far, I have made or am making:

- herbal cough syrup
- Poudre Forte and Poudre Douce (for some SCA friends)
- mustard (probably from Le Menagier)
- lavender shortbread-like cookies (very tasty!)
- chocolate pepper balls (also very tasty!)
- salt substitute spice mix (one for meat, one for veggies)
- Boom Boom (a cordial designed to settle the stomach)

- soap of castille
- pumice soap
- lavender/oatmeal soap

- sore muscle balm (Tiger Balm substitute)
- sore muscle rub (sort of a linament, still experimenting with this)
- bruise ointment (for all those fighters I know)

- sweater bags (very easy herbal bug repellant and freshener bags for
  drawers, closets, and storage)
- eye compresses (tea-bag-like for strained or swollen eyes)
- first-aid wound compresses (finishing up the recipe on this)
- home-made wet wipes (very easy)
- relaxation/soreness bags (the flax filled ones)

Good grief.

I think that's it. There may be more. I have to go look in my
magic project drawer to see what else may already be done that
I don't remember doing. :) I can share recipes for anyone who
wants these, either to the list if needed or privately. Some
have actual basis in period research, others are based on
period concepts, and some are just things my family requests
every year (7 brothers and sisters, not counting cousins and
mothers and fathers and such).
