HERB - US jobs- info needed

This was passed on to me so I thought I should reply.  I work at Middle
Tennessee State University.  It is a nice university with approx 18000
students.  It started as a school for teachers and grew up from there.
Currently we are the second largest university in Tennessee, being second
only to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.  For more info you can see

worked here for 3 and half years as a Systems Administrator for the main
academic computer.

MTSU is in Murfreesboro, TN.  Located approx 30 miles south of Nashville.
Many of the residents in the county commute to Nashville for work.  I-24
runs through the county as well as I-840 ( a Nashville loop).  It is a fast
growing county with rural roots...  subdivisions are going up like mad and
we are getting all kinds of department stores; but you can still
occasionally see deer inside the city limits.  There is a very low
unemployment rate in this area (especially compared to east Tennessee).

SCA wise, Murfreesboro is the home of the Shire of Rising Stone, which is a
great group.  Nashville has its own shire and there are three or four other
groups within an hour's drive.  With easy access to I-40, I-24, and I-65 you
can easily hit most of the events in the kingdom.  The groups in the area
all help each other out and loan equipment etc. Sometimes they co-host
events.

A SCAdian friend of mine from S. Africa is looking for a job here in the US
as a biologist, and the following Universities have openings. Can any of

Apart from U. Chicago and UCLA, I have never heard of any of these

divine revelation of St. Egbert the apostate, Virginia polytech. is
hopeless but it has a great SCA group, etc.).<
