Hello! I asked some friends of mine who happen to own a really wonderful
herb shop, and they told me what they know about labdanum:
It's a oil that is derived from the rock rose, and ancient Greeks used to
scrape it out of goats' beards. Its smell is very similar to ambergris
(heh - before or *after* scraping it out of the goats' beards????). It's
used as a fixative.
Does this help??
