Hyssop tea and infusions of hyssop are used in chest colds and coughs,
also for hoarseness, sore throats and fever. A common infusion is to
simmer 2 ounces of hyssop in a quart of water for 15 minutes. Strain,
and mix with honey to taste. Hyssop is very good as an decongestant.
It is used externally as a component in bruise ointments and is supposed
to help heal cuts quickly. It has a bitter, mint-like taste and can be
used in salads, soups and stews. Hyssop supposedly can be planted near
grapes to increase the yield.

The above is courtesy of Rodale's Herb book, hope it helps.
