Something to replicate a late-period creation in, no more, no less. Beyond
that, I don't know. What does a brass pan from the late 1500s look like?

According to my copy of Gerard, no, copper or bronze would not serve
as they are not mentioned. I'm trying to recreate some of the recipes
in Gerard and Markham (and the Agnus Castus manuscripts). And there
is an exact mention of a brass pan, but none of copper or bronze.

It doesn't matter to me as the creation I'd be making wouldn't
actually be used, initially. The creation I'd be making would be
for A&S competition only.
