That sounds like what I experience a lot. According to my eye doctor, the
glands on the edges of the eyelids can get gooped up. Hot wet compresses,
twice a day for 10 minutes, followed by gently wiping along the edge of
the lashes with the wet cloth, was what she recommended-- and if I do that
regularly, the problem goes away. Supposedly, if you do this from time to
time on a regular basis, the problem won't recur.
