Heat applied locally works VERY well for knotted muscles. So does a couple
of trips to your favorite Massage Therapist. Try avoiding caffeine, get
adequate amounts of sleep, and start some gentle stretches. (the stretches
can hurt at the beginning, but just be gentle and the stretches will get
easier.)
