HERB - It's all in the name

Here's a question.  For various reasons (not all of them the obvious
one) my brother & I are interested in planting a blackthorne, aka
"sloeberry bush".  (At one time we were going to plant it in his yard if
it could be found, though right now it will be a couple years before we
have a place for it.)

The local nursery (that *claimed* to be able to get anything) had never
heard of it.  Does anyone know if this English plant is available in the
US?
