HERB - Ginseng

Greetings!

Has anyone tried growing ginseng?  I know it is grown in WV, but I
wondered of anyone has tried it, and what if any problems they ran into. 
I know a lot of the folklore surrounding the herb, but is there anything
else anyone would add?  I'm really curious...I wonder if I can grow it in
a windowsill pot....
