The class is on early period gardening, based on some early 9th century 
Carolingian sources (including the HORTULUS I mentioned).  There'll be about 
25 minutes of lecture, then lots of time for questions and discussion.  I'll 
have handouts, including a list of the plants that were grown, a few visuals 
and a photocopy of the HORTULUS for people to look through.
