Yes, it was promoted as an exfoliator. And with the exception of grinding 
anything in a blender, your method was exactly how they said to do it. 
(Along with only patting dry after rinsing so you don't wipe off the 
oils.)They said it's only a 2-3 times a week thing too.

I was thinking it would be great to use periodically on my hands to help 
prevent the rough spots that can snag embroidery silks. Not to mention on 
winter feet, right before putting socks on and going to bed.

The thing about it that makes me want to make it myself (other than the 
price) is the long list of ingredients. Lots of "chemicals" - probably 
preservatives.
