HERB - rose beads

Greetings all.
I am currently in the process of making some rose beads, and now I have a
question.

I have only heard of roses being used to make beads with (I do the simmer
in the iron skillet an hour a day for a week process).

Have anyone made beads with any other flower or herb?  If so, what were
they, how did you do it, and how did they turn out?
