I don't know if this is period but it does make a wonderful hand lotion.

1/4 cup almond oil

1 Tbs. grated beeswax

1/4 cup rosewater

Mix together the wax and oil and heat gently (double boiler) until wax is melted. Slowly pour the rose water into the mixture. Stir well, and continue stirring off and on as it cools; it may seem thin at first, but it will turn into a lovely thick white lotion. You can also use a hand mixer or blender to quicken the process. Allow to cool completely before bottling. Makes 4 ounces.

Hope this helps with the gifts

Basic bath salts consist of epsom salts, sea salt, color and fragrance
(essential oils). Try Jojoba oil (expensive) or almond oil to liquefy
your lotions. Bees wax and lanolin make a "great for the skin" base.
