HERB - acorns

     Help, we are under an acorn attack.
Some of our trees are putting out some
exceptionally large acorns. Does anyone
know a site we can visit so we can 
identify these trees and find out if these
are normal or if we have the trees from
hell. These acorns are an inch and a half
to two inches long and 3 inches in diameter. The racket when they hit
the
roof has to be heard to be believed.
