HERB - period wedding flowers-Thanks!

Thank you all for your suggestions for period wedding flowers! I am indeed 
going with a chaplet with roses but not exclusively, I plan to have herbs 
such as rosemary and lavender and other flowers as well and maybe some ivy 
for good measure. I have to talk to my future step-mother in law because she 
is growing all the flowers for the wedding. We are having it in a public 
park instead of an event since there are many in my family unwilling to wear 
garb, his family however is already checking out patterns and fabrics and 
asking me what is period!
