HERB - 2 month's basil growth?

I think you can expect the basil plants to be at least 6 - 8 inches tall 
after two months IF they're in a big enough pot and cared for carefully.  My 
Genovese basil has always been slow growing until the weather got hot, 
especially if they were in a small pot.  Some of the small bushy ones may do 
better, but I haven't tried them myself.  What kind of grow light/heat 
situation do you have set up for them?
