Actually, applying a citrus cleaner like Dissolvit to the areas where ants
gather is a very effective way to control them. Since the ants use scent
trails to find their way to and from the anthill as well as to recognize
members of their community, the strong scent of the citrus acid prevents
them from using the trails. And any ants that wander into the stuff smell
wrong and are attacked by their mates.
