Archers, gather your fleetest arrows, Riders, bring your swiftest and most
agile steeds, Chivalric fighters, prepare to do battle, Rapiers, Ready your
weapons and come to compete for William and Katya, as They select Their
Baronial Champions in the fields of Archery, Rapier, Chivalric Combat, Youth
Combat, and Equestrian Skills. Their current Baronial Champions promise
contests to test your worthiness.
The day's activities will also include a baronial birthday celebration with
Her Excellency Katya join us as we celebrate with tea and cake. Plan to
stay for Saturday evening's feast prepared by Lord Fergus Stout and Lady
Fridemunt von Kostanz along with the Saucy Serpent, the Loch's premier
cookery guild. Their Excellencies encourage bards to attend them during
feast.
Our most talented A&S champion has issued a challenge! Artisans, did you
team up with someone to create a work of art, cook a meal, or finish a
project? If you did bring it to the Loch Guardian event for a competition
in team work, stay tuned to the list for more information.

Greetings all,
I received a call tonight from Heather Dale. For those unfamiliar with Heather, she is a fabulous musician/singer from Ealdormere, where she is known as Mistress Marian of Heatherdale. Heather is coming to Texas (Austin) this month to perform in a couple house concerts and on stage at The Curtainl She was scheduled to perform in Houston on April 9, but that event fell through. She called me to see if we would be interested to host either a casual bardic night, or a house concert. If there are people interested in the Houston area, I would really like to do BOTH.
There will be a bardic guild night on April 10, limited to bards (and spouses) - bards, please email me if you can attend;
AND I'd also like to schedule a House Concert on April 11 for a limit of 20 guests. There will be a $10.00 per person donation for the concert. I believe Heather will have CDs available as well. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided. Anyone interested in attending the concert should email me with names and number of people attending. The first 20 to contact me will be put on the list. Carpooling is wise as street parking is limited, and directions to our house will be sent to those attending.
It is a rare treat to have Heather in town, and definitely worth the effort to see and hear her (even if it is a work/school night).
