Position:
Systems Engineer - Houston Field Support Office

Job Summary:
Provide enterprise server support, integration and implementation for over 500 Intel platform servers at 200+ facilities servicing over 7,000 customers.  Responsible for all aspects of server, server integration, hardware analysis and repair for servers running Microsoft Windows Server, Novell Netware and Linux operating systems.  Participate and/or lead tasks for projects assigned.

Job Requirements
This position requires 6+ years server operating systems and integration experience specifically in Novell, Linux and Microsoft platform systems.
Requires project leadership and task leadership experience.
Must be experience in supporting large enterprise with over 200 distributed servers.
5+ years server operating systems and systems integration experience specifically in Microsoft, Linux and/or Novell platform systems.  
5+ years of experience in providing enterprise server support for a medium or large enterprise.  
Experience with HP ProLiant server systems and management tools  
Experience with LDAP protocols and tools and LDAP compliant directories (eDirectory, OpenLDAP, iPlanet, etc.) or Active Directory is required.
Experience with virtual servers and imaging utilizing ESX, ESXi, and VMWare Server on Linux is desired.  

Responsibilities
Provide daily systems administration support for 500+ Intel platform systems and 7,000 users.
Perform and monitor daily enterprise backups and resolve problems.  
Provide Intel platform support for PeopleSoft, Kronos, Notes, CareTracker, CareCentral and other Intel based applications.
Build, migrate and maintain the server platforms in operation in the environment including racking, connecting, installing new and existing servers.
Create documentation on all solutions and installations. 
Work with Application and Development teams on application integration projects and support. 
Participate on server team projects for ongoing projects as assigned.
Take on additional responsibilities and assignments as required.
