If the show was the one narrated by Leonard Nimoy then it's the same one
that is in the Canton's video library. The motte refers to a mound that the
was the foundation for what we call castles, and the bailey was the area
outside of the main structure but within the outer walls. Most of the stone
castles now remaining were built over the remains of the original motte and
bailey sites.
