Amy-

Thank you for your wonderful reply. All it entails is taking water to the
fighters. I heard someone say that there will be some sort of food passed
out to them as well. the last time I water beared, water bottles were just
coming out and the office was still in its infancy. No food was passed out,
bottles were not sterilized and an event only had one or two water bearers.
I will not mind newbies. The two that will be with me are my in-laws. They
are new to the whole SCA thing.
The supplies I need are:
water bottles with pop-up lids (like the Deja Blue ones)
throw-away pans (like you cook a turkey in)
bleach

Again, thank you for your reply. You are the only one who has shown *ANY*
interest.

Dana-
Could you please bring all the stuff you said you had to the pop. meeting on
Wed?

Others on the list:

If anyone out there has any of the things on my list, please bring them to
the meeting. I would like to have them before the event so I know what I
have to buy myself.

Yours in the Dream,

Ly Cait O'Hara

I'm trying to find a way to help... and I'll be kidless this weekend. What
all does water bearing entail besides carrying around water to the guys who
are dying of thirst? If that's all there is to it, maybe that's something I
could help with. That is if you are willing to deal with another newby...
not new to the camping just new to the water bearing... 8)

If you knew it was poison - would you still buy it?
If I can show you a better, safer way, would you listen?
I can, will you?

Subject: [Loch-ruadh] Lughnasad Water Bearers

Greetings!

I have received no volunteers for water bearing. Several people have said
that they have supplies but I have yet to hear from them or to see the
supposed supplies. I have two children and I am new to the water bearing
thing. I also have two newbies who will need my attention. If I don't get
anyone to sign up to help me at Lughnasad, there will be no water bearers.
I will not do it all alone. I am tired of staying up nights worrying about
this. I will pass around the list tomorrow evening at populace. I hope
some of you can help. After this, I have decided not to do much for a
while. I have tried, but have gotten no interest in what I wanted to do
(such as dance guild). So, until others come to me and ask for my input, I
am through. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

Cait
